- How to record Game :AION

We will record one of the most played games called “AION”. We will cover more popular games such as Warcraft and Starcraft later on. One of the new features added to this new liteCam is Game Recording and it’s pretty cool. I tested and liteCam generated few times smaller file size than Fraps, well, on my computer at least. Other new feature I like the most is the file conversion for my iPhone and iPod touch. I can record game play and watch it on my iPhone by using only one application.

Let’s open liteCam and you will see the “Record Game” button on the left side of the application.

I noticed that Frame rate can go up to 60 FPS, but I didn’t test it on my system. I left all the settings at default. When I click “Record” button, this window minimizes and the “stand by for game recording screen” comes up. I wish this screen were a little bit smaller or at least I can change the size so I don’t have to see this big window every time I record. Anyway, this screen tells me how to record/stop and video/audio settings.

One important thing is not to close this window. Leave this window on the screen and open game window. As I open AION, I hear “Recording available” and also see “Standing by / 019 /Recording (F11)” on the top left hand side of the game screen.  The number represents FPS.

I find that sometimes, I don’t see the text but I can record as long as I hear “Recording available”. When I hit F11 or whatever keyboard shortcut I set up from liteCam main screen, I hear “Record” and the text changes to red.

If I record and stop repeatedly, liteCam saves them automatically. It’s about 20-25MB per 1 minute game play.

Happy Recording!
