- How to record computer screen
You can record your screen with the mouse cursor so you can make a quick tutorial. This is one of the new features added to liteCam3. liteCam 3 doesn’t offer editing capability, but you can create a quick presentation/ tutorial on the fly as it offers “Draw on Screen” tool which you can literally draw on your screen. If you need intermediate/ advanced screen recording/editing application, try CamVerce. It offers full editing.
Select “Record Screen” to start.

Again, I will use Rectangle to select the recording area. You can select and try other recording modes because there are 4 types of recording modes like rectangle, window, program and full screen. When you selected the recording mode, click the Select button to select the recording area.

I will select 2/3 of my screen from the left. You will see this pink rectangle box with coordinates. You can move this around and also resize it to tailor fit to what you want to record.
Next thing we have to check is the audio device. If you want to record your voice as narration, select microphone.

When you’re ready, click “Record” button to start. If you see this box, you can select codec for the recording. inno Screen Capture Codec is recommended as this is so far the best codec out there for screen recording. If you selected a different codec and this dialog box doesn’t come up, you can always change the codec option from Tools > AVI file option.
You will see this little button toolbar on your screen.

Click the pencil icon to expand the drawing toolbar. You can draw while you’re recording but if you click the green arrow, everything you drew will be deleted.
When you’re done, click the Stop button to finish recording.
